Cute spot near Placa Catalunya! We checked in an hour early, awesome. The room was clean and comfy, but the noise from the street was a bit much, especially at night.

Clean and functional room, hot shower and comfortable bed Location also pretty good, handy for main metro lines.
poor soundproofing means you can hear other guests more than you would want! Entrance to the building is difficult to find and could do with better signage.

The room we had was cosy and convenient with 4 beds. The breakfast had a good choice of selection, the food was appetising! Its location was exceptional and super, just 5 minutes walk from fantastical Gaudi-designed apartments.

Decent location, a few interesting spots nearby.
No hairdryer in either bathroom and Wi-Fi was unstable at best. The building had noise issues with machinery rumbling in the mornings. The towels situation was abysmal, often short for the number of guests, and the cleaning staff's response was less than helpful. Rooms were on the smaller side, and the beds didn't cut it for comfort, especially the pillows that were covered in dust.

We checked in an hour early with no extra charge. The quadruple room was super clean and comfy. It's a 20-minute walk to Las Ramblas and only 15 minutes from the bus stop. WiFi was strong too. A solid stay!

The location of this hotel is great, 10 minute walk from main square. Rooms are small but had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. We had an ensuite bathroom and aircon. Vending machine in hotel to buy drinks and snacks all at reasonable price. There was wifi in the hotel but to be honest it wasn't great. Connection was really hit and miss, I wouldn't rely on it but was sufficient for a quick check of emails.
There was a really annoying buzzing/alarm that kept going off in the building. Never found out what it was but it was loud. Possibly was the door bell constantly being pressed by people requesting access.

Location was fantastic for what we wanted, it's about 10 minutes walk from the main bus stop (Placa De Catalunya) where the airport bus stops, we planned our route before we got to Barcelona so it was easy to find. Once we'd settled in, everything we wanted to do was in reasonable walking distance. La Ramblas is again a ten minute walk away and it's very close to 2 metro stations if you didnt want to walk. On one of the days we went to Sagrada Familia and as we had our handy "top 10 Barcelona" guide book we used the map to get back to the hotel, it only took about 20 minutes! The rooms themselves are fine, we had a double room with our own bathroom which is probably worth paying for, the shared bathroom is shared by around 4 other rooms (i think)... the free wi-fi is a bit iffy, the signal isn't particularly strong but if you sit in the hall it's fine. The hostal itself wasnt too noisy and the staff were friendly. Our room was cleaned daily andwe had fresh towels too. There was a tv in our room and a safe to put our bits and bobs (passports etc).
The only thing we would have liked was a kettle in the room so that we could have a hot drink, but there is a machine in the main hall area (I think the cost was 1 euro). The other thing that was a bit annoying was the orange light in our room which showed the fire exit... A necessity that you get used to, but it does remind you of a street light! All in all would definitely recommend this hostal!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Hostel bcn 46. The rooms were lovely and cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We felt very secure as we had a safe in our room, then we could lock our room and the main street door was operated on a buzzer system so it was pretty much impossible to get in to the hostel if you were not staying there. Great location as well and a great price! Would definitely recommend and go back.

Everything was ok at the hotel until we saw a huge cockroach in our bathroom. The reaction of the personnel was amazing: they laughed and didnt provide any excuse. We left the hotel on the same day.
